Abstract:Paeonia lactiflora Pall is a Ranunculaceae plant that has both medicinal and ornamental value. The clinical application of Paeonia lactiflora Pall and its derivatives involves the treatment of coronary heart disease, neuralgia, hypertension, and other related ailments. Currently, the research on the active components of Paeonia lactiflora Pall mainly focuses on small terpene molecules such as paeoniflorin and paeonolide and their glycoside derivatives, while the research on the macromolecular Paeonia lactiflora polysaccharides is relatively scarce. This article uses the keyword combination of "Paeonia lactiflora Pall + polysaccharides" to search relevant literature in databases such as CNKI, Web of Science, and PubMed over the past 30 years. The paper summarizes the research progress on the extraction and isolation of Paeonia lactiflora polysaccharides and their structural characterization. Additionally, the paper introduces the research progress of Paeonia lactiflora polysaccharides in areas such as antioxidant, antidepressant, and immune regulatory effects, with the aim of providing a reference for further studying the structure-activity relationship of Paeonia lactiflora polysaccharides and the in-depth exploration of Paeonia lactiflora Pall medicinal resources. |
